What ReadyBell does with information, on this website and in the products.

The statements below are accurate descriptions of how the software behaves, but this document has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet a binding privacy policy. It needs a governing-law clause, a legal entity name and address, a stated retention period, and — because the product concerns students — a review against the student-privacy obligations that apply in the districts ReadyBell serves. Replace this notice once that review is done.
This website
This site does not set advertising cookies and does not embed third-party trackers.
If you submit the demo request form, the details you enter — your name, email address, school or district, optional phone number, role, product interest, and message — are forwarded to us so we can reply. They are used to answer your request. They are not sold, and they are not added to a marketing list.
Your browser's local storage is used for one thing only: remembering whether you asked the site to reduce animation.
Location
ReadyBell Pickup takes a single location fix at the moment a parent taps “Leaving Now”, to compute a traffic-aware arrival time. There is no background or continuous location tracking.
ReadyBell Bikepool stores no location history at all. Live tracking runs only while a ride is under way, and stops when the ride ends. The only coordinates stored are fixed reference points — schools, stops, hazards, bike racks — and the meeting point chosen for a particular ride.
No child's device is tracked.
Student information
Children are not account holders. In ReadyBell Bikepool a child record has no email address, no phone number, and no password field.
Access is scoped: a parent sees their own children, and on a ride sees an anonymous count of the other riders rather than their names. Only that ride's leader sees its full roster, and only for that ride.
Reads of sensitive information are recorded — that they happened, by whom, and for what purpose — without copying the information itself.
Records and retention
Handoff records are immutable. A correction is recorded as a new, audited action rather than an edit over the original.
Schools hold the record of a completed ride or pickup. Where a guardian removes a child who has completed-ride history, the child record is retained for the school's records and the guardian is told so at the time.
Authorization changes, approvals, role changes, broadcasts, and exports are written to an append-only audit trail with actor, target, and timestamp.
Your choices
If your school uses ReadyBell and you want to see or remove information about your family, contact your school — they administer the account and can act on it.
If you contacted us through this website and want that message deleted, tell us and we will delete it.
